CLOUD 23 AND JAPANESE GIN BRAND ROKU PARTNER FOR 6-WEEK LONG BONSAI BOTANICAL POP-UP
Autumn is well and truly upon us so why not escape the dark clouds outside and enjoy a slice of Japanese tranquillity high above the city?
Hilton Deansgate Manchester’s Cloud 23 bar is playing host to a 6-week long Roku Gin pop-up, offering bonsai botanical cocktails in a breath-taking setting.
In Japanese, Roku translates as the number six which is reflected inside every bottle of Roku Gin. Crafted by Japanese artisans, the multi-layered gin combines six uniquely Japanese botanicals harvested at the peak of their season to satisfy every palette. These include sakura leaf and sakura flower for spring, sencha tea and gyokuro tea for summer, sansho pepper for autumn and yuzu peel for winter.
The pop-up allows you to choose from three specially-designed Roku Gin cocktails. The Autumn Blossom features Roku Gin, perfectly paired with Rose wine Jasmine and Blueberry paint for a delicate and floral flavour. Fidji Fizz combines Roku Gin with pink grapefruit and Fidji Tea Soda for a crisp and zesty infusion. And for those who just like an old classic, try the perfect blend of Roku Gin and tonic water.
If you can’t decide on one drink, then try The Suntory Experience – a mix of three cocktails for only £20. The Roko Gin & T, combining jasmine tea and tonic; the Haku Vodka & T, combining Green Tea and Elderflower Tonic; and Toki Whiskey & Ginger.
The pop-up is available from 14 October to 22 November, and experience this unique Gin offering and enchanting views of Manchester high above the city’s sky line.
