MENAGERIE BRUNCH

By Glossy Magazine

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, Manchester’s Menagerie is the place to be. 30 minutes from opening time, it’s already filled with hen parties, baby showers, birthday bashes and girly groups starting the weekend off the right way.

We took our seats in the feature booth, filled with foliage, flowers and famous neon sign, one of the most impressive spots in the house.

Menagerie’s Bottomless Brunch is available every weekend 12noon-5pm. For £40pp, it sounds on the higher end, we know, but wait until you hear what’s included!

For two hours, diners can top up on totally unlimited Prosecco, mimosa, Bloody Mary, and Kiki’s Fruit Punch – a delicious bubble-gum cocktail. You also get not one but TWO full-sized breakfast plates to enjoy.

We started with the avocado toast topped with tomato, black pepper, poached egg and a delicious drizzle of pesto – a welcome twist on a usual avo-toast dish.

After a short break (the unbuttoning of trousers was needed) and some more mimosas, we headed to the Oh Hey Sweetiesection of the menu, which consisted of sweet treats, such as buttermilk pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, and Menagerie French toast – brioche with Nutella and marshmallow fluff. We chosethe latter; indulging on surprisingly light brioche dusted with icing sugar and filled with gooey goodness.

A glam way to start the weekend off – great food, divine drinks and an unforgettable atmosphere.
