Is it worth investing in designer glasses?

The reality is that many designer frames are actually produced for the mass market and simply stamped with designer logos. Only a select number of independent opticians specialise in niche eyewear. By that we mean glasses that are handmade and designed by small eyewear design companies that are passionate about the styles they offer, guaranteeing comfort as well as quality. That’s what we prioritise here at Fox Brothers. and in such cases, the investment in something special is well worth it.

Do I need more than one pair of glasses?

It can certainly make life easier! Having a specific pair for your work or favourite hobby means you can have specific glasses for driving, work, sport, reading and so on. And of course, to protect your eyes from the sun – particularly in summer when it’s important to use either separate sunglasses or photochromic lenses which react to the UV rays. A different day means a different look, why have the same pair for all year round– how many pairs of shoes do you have? Glasses should be fun to wear so embrace different looks throughout the year!

Do you have any tips on the latest eyewear trends?

We’re embracing a lot more colour now in our choice of eyewear. The days of a simple black frame or a rimless frame are definitely on the decline. Customers are choosing spectacles that bring out their colour tone and personality a lot more.

Round styles, panto and aviator styles are on trend at the moment but it all depends on your face shape, colour tone and prescription.
