A staggering 1,500 visitors flocked to the venue during its opening weekend, and many have continued to return ever since.
Step Into Dubai 1970s souk
Gulf House Restaurant offers guests an immersive journey back in time, reminiscent of a traditional Gulf souk in Dubai during the 1970s. From the moment guests step inside, they are transported to the Middle East, surrounded by rich cultural decor that includes terracotta mud-effect walls, traditional Arabic script, woven rugs, and immerses diners into an authentic experience that feels a world away from dining in the Northwest of England. Although there are tables and chairs for those who prefer them, in some areas, guests can take off their shoes before sitting on the floor surrounded by Arab Gulf Khaleeji-style cushions.
Soft carpets create a comfortable and cosy space where they can enjoy a traditional spiced-filled sharing feast while listening to the soulful sounds of Arabian music. The restaurant creates an unparalleled sense of escapism. Many visitors, particularly English and Asian customers, have described feeling as though they have left the UK altogether, transported to a bustling souk decades ago in the heart of Dubai.
