Manchester is about to get super, duper and downright playful as The Super-Duper Family Festival returns for its second year, taking over the city from Wednesday 18th – Saturday 21st February 2026. 

Following its hugely successful debut, the free-to-attend festival will return with four action-packed days during February half term, transforming Manchester into the ultimate urban playground, with a series of free play zones popping up across the city.

With returning zones from last year, families can dive into The Sports Hall at Great Northern for high energy challenges, level up in The Arcade at Printworks, whirl and twirl at The Carnival in St Ann’s Square or get creative in The Playground with Waterloo Road on Exchange Square.

Supported by the city’s hoteliers, Manchester Accommodation BID, this incredible festival is being brought to life in partnership with Manchester City Centre Business Improvement District, Manchester City Council and Marketing Manchester. Featuring eight play zones this year’s festival will be super-sized, with each offering its own unique world of imagination, adventure and discovery. 

Across Manchester, galleries, attractions and public spaces will all join in the action, offering heaps of half term activities and experiences as part of the festival programme. From interactive workshops to pop-up performances, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
