If you’re looking for a hotel that’s as central as it is comfortable, the DoubleTree Hilton London Victoria ticks all the right boxes. Right next to Victoria Station, it’s brilliantly placed for getting around the city or heading straight to Gatwick via the Express. Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and the London Eye are all a short walk away, while Soho and Oxford Street are just a quick tube ride.
From the moment you check in, the tone is set with the Hilton signature DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie – a small but thoughtful touch that immediately makes you feel at home.
We stayed in a King Duplex Suite, and it was exactly what we needed after busy days exploring London. Split across two floors, it offers space, comfort, and style in equal measure. The bedroom downstairs features a plush king-sized bed, while the living space upstairs provides a sofa bed, an espresso machine, and plenty of room to unwind. The design is contemporary but warm, and it’s the kind of space that makes you want to linger.
Dining at Terminus Kitchen & Bar was another highlight. The relaxed, modern setting serves up globally inspired dishes, from small plates and tapas to hearty mains like lamb rack and octopus. We enjoyed sharing plates with a crisp glass of white wine, but the menu has something for every mood. Breakfast is equally generous, with enough choice to fuel a full day of sightseeing.
What stood out the most, though, was the staff. Friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming, they went out of their way to make our stay feel special. It’s clear that they love what they do, and it shows in every interaction.
The exterior of the hotel might not give much away, but step inside and you’ll find a hidden gem – a stylish interior, great food, and staff who make you feel like a valued guest. For us, it was the perfect base in London, and one we wouldn’t hesitate to return to.
