Pupils at The Manchester Grammar School are celebrating another year of exceptional GCSE examination results.
46% of all grades were at the very highest grade 9 level and 84% of all grades achieved were 9, 8 or 7 (the equivalent of A*/A).
These GCSE results follow another outstanding set of A-level results for MGS pupils last week, with 32% of all grades at A* and 92% at A*, A or B.
This level of performance puts MGS in a very select group of schools nationally.
The School’s High Master, Dr Martin Boulton, said, “We are very proud of this group of pupils having achieved such outstanding results. Our boys can now approach the next exciting stage of their academic careers with real confidence.”
“I would like to thank our dedicated staff for the work they have done to support our pupils through their GCSEs.”
