· Manchester LGBTQ+ youth charity The Proud Trust has brought together 30 LGBTQ+ celebrities and high-profile allies for a new film supporting its national #DeserveBetter campaign, led by Dannii Minogue, Sir Stephen Fry, Dame Kelly Holmes, Tom Allen, Danny Beard, Denise Welch, Kizzy Edgell, Courtney Act, Adele Roberts and Cyril Nri

· They are joined by James Barr, Charlie Condou, Alexandra Mardell, Anita Asante, Matt Cain MBE, Nathaniel J Hall, Neil Ashton, Elijah Young, Peter McPherson, Shakeel Kimotho, Gabriel Clark, Rob Madge, Lianne Sanderson, Heather Fisher, Meg Jones MBE, Kirsty Gilmour, Lucy Shuker BEM, Bruce Mouat, Catrin Feelings and Elle Vosque
· The 30 names from music, television, film, comedy, theatre, literature and elite sport have united behind one message, that every LGBTQ+ young person deserves to feel safe, accepted, heard and able to thrive

· At the heart of The Proud Trust’s work in Manchester is The Proud Place, one of only a small number of purpose-built LGBTQ+ centres in Europe, while the charity supports thousands of LGBTQ+ young people through youth groups, mentoring, one-to-one support, education programmes and other services
· The film amplifies The Proud Trust’s national #DeserveBetter campaign, launched earlier this summer amid stark figures showing 43% of LGBTQ+ pupils experience bullying because of who they are, 58% have seriously considered suicide and almost a quarter may never complete secondary school

· The campaign follows a 171% increase in referrals to The Proud Trust after the Supreme Court ruling in For Women Scotland Ltd v The Scottish Ministers, underlining growing demand for specialist LGBTQ+ youth support
