The Hale branch of HOB Salons was taken over from its previous owners just over a year ago by husband and wife team Hayley and Mark, and the friendly duo have cherry picked their staff to create a warm, relaxed vibe – it’s a real family affair!
We were invited down to the Cheshire salon, located on Hale’s prestigious Ashley Road, to try a treatment, a true weekend treat. It was quiet for a Saturday, but we were assured we had just missed the midday rush. For us? We welcomed the peace and quiet after a hectic office week. The salon is clean, modern and sleek, and teas, coffees and biscuits are on hand as soon as you step through the door.
HOB Salons has a resident brow and lash artist, Assoon, offering brow threading and a full range of lash services. If you fancy a manicure, Assoon also has started doing gel nails, we browsed the options whilst waiting, as we were also handed a 50% off beauty voucher for new clients – result!
We enjoyed a full head tint (from £40) and a Cut & Blowdry (from £38) plus an in-colour Olaplex treatment (£25). Spanish Leo, who was assigned to do our colour, tells us he actually travels two hours a day, six days a week, from his farm in the Lancashire hills to get to the salon – that’s how much he loves working at HOB Salons! He informed us that our desired colour we had in mind wouldn’t be achieved straight away, which can be disappointing to hear, but we appreciated the honesty, which is a trait hard to find in some hair stylists. For anyone that hasn’t had colour at HOB Salons before, or haven’t had it for 12 months, they are currently offering a fantastic 25% off all full-priced colour services.
Mark washed off our colour, and also managed to almost send us to sleep (in the best possible way) – his head massage was amazing…Hayley’s cut and bouncy blowdry was great, just what we needed to spruce up our locks.
Speaking of blowdrys, if you’re in need of a last minute blowdry, HOB Salons offer a new “On The Day Blowdry” service, which is available any day, any time. Simply call up the night before, the morning of, or walk into the salon, and you get a blowdry with an available stylist for just £20. Great for last-minute plans, spontaneous nights out or days when you wake up and just can’t be bothered!
