For high-achieving professionals, health is non-negotiable — but time is often in short supply. That’s where Prestige Private Health steps in. Founded by two highly experienced GPs, Dr Nash and Dr Wes, this service is redefining what it means to have access to first-class, personalised healthcare, offering clients direct, same-day access to their personal GP.

We sat down with the doctors behind the brand to learn more about their approach to modern private healthcare.
GM: You both come from NHS and private GP backgrounds. What led you to start Prestige Private Health?
Nash: We’d seen how long NHS wait times and reactive care affect working adults. We wanted a proactive model—same-day GP access and annual health checks—to catch problems early and reduce absence before it leads to burnout.
Wesley: UK businesses lose around £20 billion annually to sickness absence. For us, early access isn’t just compassionate—it’s critical for productivity and staff morale.
GM: What’s the Prestige Private Health model for businesses?
Wesley: We offer tiered subscriptions—Bronze to Platinum—per employee. Bronze ensures prompt GP access, while higher tiers offer more consultations and detailed annual health screenings, including blood tests and cardiovascular risk assessments.
Nash: And unlike traditional providers, we see staff onsite at their workplace, at home, or through video and telephone consultations—whatever works best. This flexibility removes access barriers and supports early intervention.

GM: Are there tax benefits that make this appealing to companies?
Wesley: Absolutely. HMRC allows one annual medical check-up and onehealth screening per employee to be entirely tax-exempt—no Benefit in Kind (BIK) or National Insurance if offered to all staff.
Nash: Plus, it’s fully tax-deductible as a business expense. And when a single sick day costs a business an average of £107 per employee, the financial case is strong.
GM: How do you compare to providers like BUPA or Vitality?
Wesley: They’re insurance-first—often reactive, policy-restricted, and app-driven. With Prestige, you get direct GP access, continuity of care, and no call centres or referral delays.
Nash: And we have no exclusion criteria. We don’t turn anyone away due to past or existing medical conditions. As GPs, we’re trained to manage everything—from chronic illness to mental health—under one roof. It’s truly personalised healthcare, delivered wherever your team needs it.
GM: Why are annual health screenings so valuable?
Wesley: They help us detect early-stage conditions like hypertension, diabetes, or stress-related illness before they lead to long-term absence or crisis management. It’s proactive care with a measurable return on investment.
Nash: With NHS access under pressure and insurance models shifting toward prevention, our annual checks help companies stay ahead, reduce risk, and show employees they’re genuinely valued.

GM: Outside clinical life, what keeps you grounded?
Nash: Family time is essential, and I’m also passionate about aviation. I’m currently learning to fly light aircraft and work as an Aeromedical Examiner (AME), performing medicals for commercial and private pilots at Manchester and Liverpool Airports.
Wesley: I’m the team doctor for a professional football team, so when I’m not pitchside with the pros, I’m spending time with my wife and two sons.
GM: What’s your message to CEOs and HR teams?
Wesley: Reactive healthcare is costly. Investing in proactive, flexible care boosts productivity, reduces absenteeism, and improves staff loyalty.
Nash: This isn’t just a staff perk—it’s a strategic investment. A healthier team means fewer disruptions and better business performance. And with no exclusions, we’re ready to support every employee, whatever their health needs.
