How To Make Your Business More Visible Online

It’s easy to feel as though your business is getting lost in the crowd – you’ve got the products, the service, even the passion, but somehow the right people aren’t coming to you and they’re just not seeing you. Well, you’re not alone – that’s a problem lots of business owners have, especially when it seems like search engine algorithms change overnight and it’s hard to keep up with it all.

The truth is, getting seen doesn’t have to be too much of a big task, and it is possible for every business owner to do it once they’ve got the right information. With that in mind, here are some tips on how to make your business more visible online – read on to find out more.

Know Who You’re Talking To

Before you can start thinking about tactics, take a step back and think about who you’re trying to reach. The fact is that not everyone is your target audience, and although that might sound harsh, it’s actually a good thing. When you’ve got a clear idea about who your ideal customers are – what they need, where they spend time online, how they prefer to interact with you, and so on – you can stop wasting time trying to be everywhere at once.

It means you’ll be able to focus on the platforms and places where your audience already spends time, and then all your efforts are going to have a lot more impact and, ideally, bring you better results.

Make Your Online Presence Feel Real

People buy from businesses they trust, and one of the fastest ways to build trust is to make your online presence feel human. That doesn’t mean oversharing or using slang and emojis (unless that’s what your audience wants, of course!), but you do need to be clear, approachable, and consistent in how you do things and what you say and present online.

The best place to start is with your website. Is it easy to navigate? Can someone understand what you do and offer within the first ten seconds? Do your social pages actually reflect who you are as a business? If you’re clear about all this, people will want to know more and they’ll be more likely to end up buying from you.

Show Up Consistently

There’s no quick fix for visibility, and it’s just something that tends to grow when you’re consistent and keep posting and being there for your customers. That could mean writing a weekly blog, a few social posts, or perhaps a monthly newsletter, for example, but whatever it is, the more you do things like that, the more you’ll be seen and recognised.

Content is also massively important – you don’t need to post every day, but you do need to offer something useful, interesting, engaging, and really what your customers want. Show your expertise, how you got where you are, where you’re going, and answer questions, and you’ll be on the right track. And if live content is part of your plan, take the time to select the best platform for web broadcasts so your audience can hear what you’ve got to say – it will make a difference.
