Musicians from the Northern Chamber Orchestra (NCO) bring a pair of stunning string quartet concerts to West Didsbury in February and May 2022.
Artistic director Nicholas Ward (violin) leads the NCO’s principal string players in two performances that feature works by such celebrated composers as Beethoven, Mozart and Haydn.
The concerts take place on Saturday 12 February 7.30pm and Saturday 28 May 7.30pm and take place in the beautiful surroundings of Christ Church in West Didsbury, Manchester. February’s concert includes works by Haydn, Beethoven and Dvořák, while the concert in May features works by Rossini, Beethoven, and Mozart.
Formed in the late 1960s, the Northern Chamber Orchestra is one of the country’s top chamber orchestras. The orchestra holds its main concert season in Macclesfield’s Heritage Centre, is the Orchestra in Association at Manchester’s Stoller Hall, and performs regularly in Buxton and other venues across the North of England.
Tickets for the concerts in Didsbury are available now from the NCO’s website and are priced at £18, with free entry for students and under 18s.
