Brand-new house music concept created by international DJ E.M.A, with special guest actress Katie McGlynn, promises Manchester’s most feel-good after-brunch experience.

Something exciting is arriving in Manchester’s iconic Gay Village this summer.
International DJ E.M.A, along with special guest NTA award-winning actress Katie McGlynn, who is making her DJ debut, are joining forces to launch House Of Kooky. This all-new house music experience combines uplifting house music, unlimited drinks, immersive production and unapologetically feel-good party energy.
This is Manchester’s first-ever after-brunch experience launching on Saturday 1st August at Velvet Events.
House Of Kooky transforms the traditional brunch into an energetic after-brunch party where guests can dance, socialise and lose themselves in an atmosphere inspired by some of the world’s biggest house music events.
Expect vibrant production, neon lighting, confetti blasts, bubbles, giant lips, playful décor, feel-good house anthems and a crowd brought together by one simple idea…

Guests attending the launch can enjoy three hours of unlimited drinks while E.M.A and Katie provide the soundtrack with uplifting vocal house, disco house and club classics designed to keep the dance floor moving from start to finish.

Taking place at Velvet Events in the heart of Manchester’s famous Canal Street, House Of Kooky marks the beginning of what E.M.A and Katie hope will become one of the city’s most talked-about new after-brunch house music brands.

Katie McGlynn is an NTA award-winning actress, recognised for her roles in Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road. A lifelong lover of house music and dance culture, Katie joins E.M.A for her debut as the special guest DJ for the launch of House of Kooky, bringing her vibrant personality and passion for entertaining to one of Manchester’s most exciting new house music events.

E.M.A (former owner of VIVA Manchester Magazine) is an international DJ and music producer with over 10 years’ experience performing across the UK and internationally. Renowned for her energetic house music sets and extensive knowledge of the electronic music scene, she has built a career both behind the decks and in the studio, producing original music while performing at clubs, festivals and major events. As the creative force behind House of Kooky, E.M.A has combined her passion for music, production and event concepts to create a bold new house music experience centred around great music, vibrant production and bringing people together on the dance floor.
