The latest addition at Escape to Freight Island features the brand-new Carnival, a collaboration concept with award-winning chef Richard Turner, offering quality and fine cut meats, from Premium Rib, Porterhouse, T-Bone steak and Pork Chop.
Every Sunday, Escape to Freight Island will host Carnival Roast, its take on traditional Sunday roast with a twist. A choice of two or three courses menu available, with an array of starters to pick from – including Charcoal Grilled Asparagus, Horseradish Sauce and Hazelnut Aillade; Chargrilled Squid with Kosho & Rocket; or Braised Pigs Head Crumpet with Honey & Clove.
Sunday Roast mains option include Slow Roast Rump of Aged Beef; Herdwick Slow Roast Lamb; or Mrs Kirkhams Cheese & Onion Pie. All accompanied with exciting trimmings of glazed carrots, the finest spring greens, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and topped with Carnival’s signature Houses of Parliament & Madeira gravy.
Finishing off with desserts, options include Sticky Toffee Pudding with Toffee Sauce and Clotted Cream; Cambridge Burnt Cream with Rhubarb; or Mrs Kirkhams Cheese Pasty with Apple and Tamarind.
Additional sides and starters from the full Carnival menu are also available to order, paired with the finest drinks on offer from Escape to Freight Island. The mains Carnival Roast is priced at £19, or £25 for two-courses and £30 for three-courses. For those with big appetites, ‘THE BEAST’ Porterhouse or T-Bone roasts is available for minimum of two people sharing and priced at £20pp.
