The Lady Garden Foundation hosted its first event in the North of England, raising funds to support a life-saving gynaecological health campaign at Freshers Fairs at the major universities across the North of England (University of Leeds, Leeds Beckett University, Manchester University, Manchester Metropolitan University, Liverpool and Sheffield University).
Two of The Lady Garden Foundation’s Co-Founders, Tamara Beckwith Veroni and Clare van Dam, with local philanthropist Shalni Arora, were honoured to co-host the intimate lunch with Lady Derby in the exclusive surroundings of her private home; Knowsley Hall, on 9th May 2025.

Notable attendees included: Tamara Beckwith, Clare van Dam, Lady Derby, Shalni Arora, Ruth Ganesh, Davinia Taylor, Daniella Anderson, Jenny Halpern Prince, Lady Roisin Timpson, Victoria McManaman, Kristina Metcalf, Noreen Goodwin and others.
This event was generously supported by LYMA and Flexjet. Welcome drinks were held on the terrace upon arrival, and guests were then led into the State Room for a seated lunch. Following the lunch, guests were treated to a tour of the spectacular Knowsley Hall, a stately home which was built in its current iteration in 1495, and is surrounded by 2,500 acres of parkland designed by Capability Brown.

ABOUT LADY GARDEN FOUNDATION
The Lady Garden Foundation is a national gynaecological health charity on a mission to raise awareness and funds to improve the prevention, early-diagnosis and treatment of the five gynaecological cancers: Ovarian, Cervical, Womb (Uterus), Vulval, Vaginal.
With a revolutionary, taboo-busting approach, Lady Garden is firmly focused on saving lives. Today, and every day, 60 women in the UK will receive the life-changing news of a gynaecological cancer diagnosis, and 21 people will die from one of these cancers. Many of the symptoms are ’silent’, meaning they are often diagnosed too late.
Founded in 2014, the charity initially funded ground-breaking research into the treatment of the five cancers at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. Over the last ten years, the Lady Garden Foundation has developed a year-round programme of annual events, wide-reaching education programmes, high-impact awareness campaigns and on-going funding for a host of cutting-edge research projects with global impact.
