Secret Spa's gel nail manicure

A round-up of things we’re loving this month…

Secret Spa

Manchester & Cheshire / Health & Beauty

Secret Spa is an at-home beauty service loved by some of the UK’s top beauty journalists and celebrities, such as Amanda Holden, Mollie King and Pixie Lott. Lucky for us lot up North, due to rave reviews in London, the service is now available in Manchester and Cheshire too! Amazing

therapists come to you at home (ours, Yolanda and Lindsey, were the absolute best) so you can enjoy your treatment in total comfort knowing you’ve not got to travel afterwards. The Classic Facial is the perfect way to boost and rejuvenate the skin, whilst a gel manicure and gel pedicure includes cuticle work, exfoliation, hand and foot massage, and file and paint with gel polish – a long-lasting treatment for your nails. There are loads of other treatments available as well, from hair and makeup to tan and lashes, plus massages and more.

Junsei

London / Food & Drink

Embracing all things skewered, Junsei, located in Marylebone’s Seymour Place, is an elegant restaurant putting the spotlight on yakitori (skewered chicken). Alongside grilled bird offerings, there are also kushiyaki vegetable skewers, elevated donabe rice bowls and seasonal Japanese hot plates. All skewers are cooked over binchōtan charcoal, a white variety made from Japanese oak and considered the purest charcoal in the world. Burning at a high heat, meat cooks from the inside out, resulting in succulent texture and a pure finish, which emphasises the distinctive flavours of each part of the chicken – delicious!

Urban Playground

Manchester / Entertainment

Urban Playground, found in Manchester’s Arndale Centre, is the city’s new go-to destination for a fun day out. The exciting new complex includes the highly anticipated THE CUBE Live, where for the first time ever, fans can play iconic games as seen on TV, all in the famous perspex box. There’s also Putters, a tech-infused mini golf extravaganza delivering the best putting experience in the world. Both experiences can be thirsty work, right? So, head to Putters Bar, an uber-cool cocktail bar serving beers, wines, spirits and cocktails, and if you’re hungry, award-winning burger bar The Butcher provides only the best Aberdeen Angus beef, the freshest vegetables, signature sauces and homemade semi-brioche buns. Yum!

London Eye

London / Tourist Attraction

The London Eye, found on the South Bank of the River Thames, is one of the UK’s most well-known attractions and is Europe’s tallest observation wheel. The gradual rotation in one of the 32 high-tech glass capsules takes approximately 30 minutes and gives you an ever-changing perspective of London. Showcasing stunning panoramic views of

the capital city, it’s no surprise that it’s the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, with over 3 million visitors annually. If you’ve not given it a go yet, you’re missing out.
