Manchester Rum Week

For the first time, Manchester will host Manchester Rum Week from 21st to 27th July, offering a citywide celebration of all things rum. Expect a spirited showcase across some of Manchester’s best bars and cocktail joints, with special serves, curated menus and unique rum creations to warm up for the main event.  Venues taking part include Revolución de Cuba, Alchemist, New Century, Reserve at Mackie Mayor, Mamucium and Exhibition.  Cocktail lovers can support local venues, try new serves and get their rum on for the main event…

Manchester Rum Festival

The main festival itself promises an impressive line-up of global rum brands – all heading to Manchester especially for the event – including Mount Gay (Barbados), Chairman’s Reserve (Saint Lucia), Takamaka (Seychelles), Pusser’s (Guyana), Don Papa (Philippines) and Planteray, alongside newcomers like Banditti (Scotland), Patridom (Dominican Republic), West Grove Rum Punch (Jamaica), Henstone Distillery (Shropshire) and the rare cask specialists at Precious Drops and Single Origin Series. Carib of Trinidad will also be on hand with a refreshing Caribbean beer option, too!

Expect unlimited tastings, delicious Caribbean Street Food from Elijo’s, tropical cocktails by MONIN*, and lively DJ sets spinning Soca and Reggae all day long.

Attendees can also upgrade their experience by joining the Rum Ramble – a series of expert-led seminars and tastings spotlighting Jamaica, Barbados and Scotland, as well as a sensory tasting hosted by the award-winning Peter Holland of The Floating Rum Shack.

Founder Dave Marsland has called this year’s main festival a “game-changer” – and at just £27.50 for general entry (including unlimited tastings), it’s set to be an absolute steal for rum lovers!
